Changelog
Use Snowflake as a source
Replicate Snowflake tables with an initial snapshot and ongoing change tracking.
Teams that wanted to move data out of Snowflake previously could not configure Snowflake as an Artie source for both an initial copy and ongoing change replication.
Artie now supports Snowflake source configuration, snapshots, and ongoing replication using Snowflake change tracking. Streaming keeps a per-table cursor, reads changes in bounded windows, and can refresh its table adapter when columns are added or removed. The Dashboard also includes Snowflake source setup guidance. Change tracking and sufficient Snowflake history retention are required; if required history is unavailable, the pipeline stops rather than silently skipping it.
This is for teams that need to replicate Snowflake tables into Artie destinations while keeping source changes flowing after the initial backfill.
Why this matters
- Configure Snowflake as an Artie source for snapshots and ongoing changes
- Preserve a streaming position across restarts and retry failed change windows safely
- Detect schema changes and missing change history instead of silently producing incomplete data
