We optimized Artie's Postgres reader by improving compression and eliminating several O(N) hot paths in the replication reader. As a result, pipelines can now sustain 2×+ higher CDC throughput before falling behind.
Why this matters
- Reduce replication lag during peak write load
- Allow large backfills or catch-ups to complete much faster
- Increase pipeline headroom so deployments can stay real-time without oversized infrastructure
